Main Components
U-Shaped Mixing Trough
The trough is made of 304 or 316L stainless steel, with rounded inner corners. The smooth interior surface helps reduce material adhesion and residue, making routine cleaning and batch changeover easier.
Mixing Blade Assembly
The unit is fitted with U-profile mixing blades. During operation, the blades lift, turn, and circulate material inside the trough. This mechanical agitation allows the mixer to handle materials that cannot be blended effectively by gravity tumbling alone.
Variable-Speed Transmission Unit
The trough mixer is driven by a high-torque geared motor. It provides stable power output for viscous and damp materials. A variable-frequency drive can be used to adjust rotation speed according to process requirements.
Tilt-Discharge Setup
Manual or motorized tilting discharge is available. The trough can tilt to a large angle, which helps improve discharge efficiency and reduce material residue inside the cavity.
Shaft Sealing and Control Cabinet
The shaft sealing structure helps reduce material leakage during operation. The control cabinet supports timed mixing, speed adjustment, and standard start–stop operation for batch production.

Working Principle
During operation, the drive motor rotates the U-shaped mixing blades at an adjustable speed. The blades move the material along the trough while also circulating it from the center to the sides.
Wet agglomerates and sticky materials are gradually broken up and redistributed. Liquid components are evenly incorporated into the solid material, producing a uniform mixture. The mixer is suitable for damp, sticky, and poor-flowing materials that are difficult to process in conventional tumble mixers.
