Features
Water-heated vacuum dryers utilize low temperature, gentle heat, and safety as their core technologies, primarily employing hot water circulation for heating. Their heating temperature is typically limited to below 85℃, making them ideal for processing extremely heat-sensitive, flammable, explosive, or materials requiring the preservation of active ingredients. Because they do not use electric heating elements or high-temperature heat transfer oil, the entire heating process is free of open flames and hot spots, ensuring extremely high safety for materials containing organic solvents or flammable and explosive materials.
Working Principle
The water-heated vacuum dryer mainly consists of a drying chamber, a hot water circulation system, a vacuum system, a condensation recovery system, and a control system. Its working process is as follows:
1. Loading: Place the material to be dried evenly in the drying trays, racks, or pallets, close the chamber door, and ensure the equipment is sealed.
2. Hot Water Circulation and Heating: The hot water circulation system delivers hot water to the drying chamber jacket or internal heating plates, evenly transferring heat to the material through heat conduction.
3. Establishing a Vacuum Environment: Start the vacuum pump to extract air from the drying chamber, creating a low-pressure environment. As the pressure decreases, the boiling points of moisture and other solvents drop significantly.
4. Moisture Evaporation and Condensation Recovery: Moisture in the material continuously vaporizes at low temperatures, forming water vapor. The vacuum system continuously extracts the vapor, which enters the condenser. The condenser uses cooling water to condense the vapor into liquid and collect it, reducing the load on the vacuum pump and facilitating the recovery of organic solvents.
5. Reaching the Drying End Point: When the material reaches the set moisture content or the set drying time, stop heating, release the vacuum, open the chamber door, and remove the dried product.
